Welcome to Querétaro!!

The International Newcomers Club of Querétaro exists to provide a medium of friendship, interest, and activity for people who are in our community and to promote the Mexican culture to all members. We do this by holding regular meetings, organizing social gatherings such as holiday parties, a book club, and dine-outs, visiting interesting places throughout Mexico, and providing community services. All of our meetings and activities are held in English, though many of our members speak a host of other languages.

The club began in the early 1990s through the efforts of a group of English-speaking women in Jurica led by Charlotte Van Hoosen. Over the years, the club has grown and welcomed many new families from all over the world to our community. We currently have over 60 member families. The club is open to everyone, visiting and Mexican families alike. Many of our members have actually been living in Querétaro for many years, but still have the desire to welcome new people and participate in our many activities.

The club exists for social purposes only and has no religious or political affiliations.  All fees and donations are used to support social activities and the Treasury record is published monthly to explain how fees and donations are used.  This is a non-profit organization.

We meet on the first Thursday of every month at 9:30 am. We welcome you to join us and learn about our club. If you are interested in attending one of these meetings or just to learn more about who we are and what we do, please contact us at
